colette Asked :Hello. With reference to the Mayfair Shine Kitchen mixer tap with pull out Nozzle- KIT167 (QS-V21755) what is it constructed from please- in particular what is the end part made from? Is it chromed metal or chromed plastic? Thank you.
Answered By QS Team :
The tap body itself is made of brass and then chrome plated. The pull out spray nozzle is chrome plated plastic.
Roge Asked :1. Why two buttons on the pull down head? 2. Can the lever tap be set to face the front of the tap, as opposed to on the side? 3. Is there a weight fitted to the flexible hose under the sink, to help pull the head back into position?
Answered By Mayfair :
2 spray options. yes. it has a spring that causes tension when the head is pulled, this contracts and gently assists when placing the headwork back into the spout.
Answered By Paul :
There are two buttons for the water flow, one for normal flow, one for spraying. Yes, the lever can face the front, or the side & yes there is a weight underneath. Had this tap about a year now, its great, had no problems at all, would recommend.
Answered By Jonathan :
1. The buttons change the spray pattern from a shower type series of small jets to a single stream. 2. Yes ours is mounted facing forward - the tap arm swivels 360 degrees 3. Yes there is weight and its position is adjustable to get the head back right. It could be a bit heavier in my view - the tap will stay retracted in place but its not exactly pulled back strongly by the weight. For what its worth, you also need a good pressure and flow rate to get the best out of this tap. Our mains water is average to low and this tap is a little slow. This is where the jet spray pattern is useful as it generates enough force to clean things well. Hope this helps.
