Optional: Soft-Close Seat

Soft-closing seats are a new alternative to classic toilet seats. Their modern design allows them to close slowly, while their controlled manner of closing does not require you to assist them. It also shuts automatically, allowing it to come down at a pace that does not make much noise.

The toilet is nice, but the soft close seat which goes with it is disappointing and pricey. Also, every you get off the seat, the lid bangs against the cistern; it's annoying. I'm of average height and weigh under 90kg

We have this set-up and have no problems. The seat has obviously not been fitted properly. Would agree that the seat is pricey, but they don't do an ordinary seat.

What is the difference between EC1009 and EC1003, and is there a standard seat or no seat if the soft close seat option is not applied?

EC1003 is an open-back close-coupled WC, while the EC1009 is a fully back-to-wall close-coupled WC. The toilet seat is not included. If you don't select the toilet seat option, the product will be supplied without the toilet seat.
