Rak Summit SM11AWHA Details

The RAK Summit Close Coupled WC comes with a Soft-Close Toilet Seat setting a new benchmark in sanitary ware design. Styled for modern bathrooms, it comes with softly rounded corners and angles and includes a dual flush cistern with a chrome push button and valve. As the cistern is directly attached to the pan, this close-coupled toilet is easy to install. Replacement of one is easy with another close-coupled model as the piping needs are similar.

Access to maintenance for close-coupled toilets is immediate. This unit also saves space and is cheaper than other models. Crafted from fine vitreous china, it is durable, easy to clean, and covered by a 20-year guarantee from the manufacturer against any flaws in material or craftsmanship. A really impressive looking and functional WC, that enhances the appearance of the rest of my bathroom. There is however a very long superficial scratch mark inside the toilet bowl in addition to two other smaller marks (on delivery item), but they do not affect the overall use.

On the RAK website, they have 2 versions of this toilet S trap and P trap. Which version is this, please? Will it work with soil pipe which goes into the floor?

Is the RAK Summit toilet suitable for fitting where the outlet to the outside downpipe has to come out at the toilet side and be boxed in? This is because the toilet is not fitted on a wall where the pipe can go straight out at the back. Also, on what side of the cistern is the entry for the water pipe? If the RAK Summit does not meet these requirements, is there another toilet you can suggest (other than an old-fashioned basic style)?

For the Summit, you can have a turned conversion bend to turn the pan left or right. The water inlet is on the left-hand side but can be swapped over to the right-hand side.

Will the Rak summit close-coupled toilet fit with a downward waste pipe? Looking at the picture, not sure enough room to fit a flexible pipe!

From what we can see, a flexible downpipe can be fitted. There is a technical diagram showing all the dimensions, and the available space is 150mm, which you will need to check with your fitter/plumber to see if this is sufficient to fit a downward pipe.
