Xpelair DX100PC models have a softly curved flowline grille design which will blend into wall or ceiling décor, whilst the shallow depth of the outlet spigot ensures compact window installation. All models come complete with a universal mounting kit suitable for wall, ceiling and window mounting (in single glazing up to 6mm) applications.
The DX range includes an air operated backdraught shutter, outer grille and ducting. All models are IPX5 rated and BEAB approved, demonstrating accredited levels of safety. They are all suitable for 220-240V 50Hz mains operation, have lubricated for life motors, Class B insulation for operation in ambient temperatures up to 40ºC and are fitted with a thermal cut out. Bathroom Fans operating on 12 Volts
These fans operate on 12v, supplied by a transformer fitted outside the bathroom. Bath and shower rooms are areas of increased electrical hazard. When fitting ventilation products in Zones 1 and 2 of a bath or shower room, an ingress protection rating of IPX4 is required, in accordance with the requirements of the IEE Wiring Regulations (16th Edition) and BS7671:2001.
Zone 1 may best be described as the area immediately bounded by your bath or shower cubicle to a height of 2.25m, whilst Zone 2 is best described as the area extending 0.60m from the extremities of your bath or shower cubicle, also to a height of 2.25m. However, for clarification of these terms and the requirements applicable for your particular installation, you should consult the classification of zones in BS7671:2001 as highlighted in the Xpelair catalogue. Timer, PIR Sensor and Humidity Fans
Timer fans are supplied with a delay timer that keeps the fan operating for a set period, for example once lights have been turned off in a toilet or bathroom.
PIR Sensor Fans are operated by detecting the presence of body heat in a room and are generally supplied with a delay timer.
Humidity Fans are operated automatically by a sensor generally adjustable between 50 - 90% RH
