John Davies Asked :I have Modena 95210 taps in an en-suite basin, but over time both handles have become loose. I have carefully removed the brass plugs from both taps, but, even with a bright light, I cannot make out the type of tool I would need to tighten the handles. Your advice would be much appreciated.

Hi, Thanks for your enquiry. You would normally require a small bore Allen key, this will press up against the spline cover that is on the valves spline. Once you have opened it up and pulled off the handle by turning the Allen key screw anti-clockwise, (careful not to lose the screw down the plug hole!) you might see a plastic insert, try using some long tooth pliers to pull this out, turn it around and put it back in so that the Allen screw is pressing up against a new side. Replace the handle and retighten. This should resolve the loose head.
