Made of solid brass and finished in chrome, these twin beauties are suitable for all plumbing systems. This traditionally designed product features metal heads and is backed by five-years manufacturing guarantee.

We replaced the old taps with the Bristan 1901 traditional basin taps in all our bathrooms. They are very high quality and look beautiful, so we are really pleased with them, it was worth waiting for the delivery.

I am considering purchasing the Bristol 1901 1/4 turn basin taps. Please can I enquire if they turn on in an anti-clockwise direction and off in a clockwise direction as I understand some taps differ. If they don’t, am I able to purchase a different cartridge to enable this?

For the Bristan 1901 taps, you need to turn the handles clockwise for hot water and anti-clockwise for cold water. If you wanted them both to turn anticlockwise to turn on, you would need to purchase a cold valve and put it into the hot side. If you wanted them both to turn clockwise to turn on, then you would need to purchase a hot valve and put it into the cold side.

Are the ceramics covered by the 5-year warranty? My 1901 basin tap (only the cold one) has a constant drip - almost a trickle.

Yes, this tap has a reliable quarter turn ceramic disc valves for on/off operation. Price is not for single, it is for a pair of taps.
