Duravit invests heavily in research and technology and is responsible for many innovative and award-winning bathroom products, including the DuraStyle rimless toilet and the SensoWash cleaning system. Another of their pioneering designs is the Duravit Open Space 2 range, which was developed in collaboration with the Viennese-based designers, EOOS.
EOOS are known for their creative flair and for transforming environments by combining traditional ideas with new technologies. Duravit’s Open Space range offers shower enclosures that ‘fold’ against the wall inside a stylish chrome frame and incorporate concealed shower hoses and tap fittings. Two large glass doors, which are available with an option of mirrored or translucent glass, fits neatly against the wall with no need for an obtrusive rail, making any bathroom appear larger and more open.
The shower screens come in a range of sizes, from 785 x 785 mm up to 985 x 985mm, and are made from 8mm toughened safety glass. All bathrooms will benefit from the smooth, space-easing design of the Open Space range but it is especially suitable for smaller bathrooms where valuable space is taken up by traditional shower enclosures. Instead, peace and harmony is provided with a shower that is there when it is needed and gone when it is not, freeing up space with clean, uncluttered lines.
