Moira Asked :I bought the croydex bath shower mixer set from Argos the lever for the shower doesn't seem to be working their anything coming out the hose for a shower it's coming out for a bath what am I doing wrong
Answered By QS Team :
We are sorry to hear that there is an issue with this product.
The switch should only be used when a flow of water is going through the product.
We have some instructions for fixing the lever if it has popped out of place. Alternatively, you can return the seat to the place of purchase for a refund or exchange.
During operation, the lever has been pressed too hard, and the Lever's arm has become disengaged with the spindle assembly.
We have two choices:
As the Customer, you have the right to return the product, and croydex would issue a replacement or offer a refund (full or partial).
1.) You have a go at repair yourselves
a.) Unscrew Phillips screw at the front of the unit.
b.) Remove Cover and then Lever Arm moulding.
c.) Using long-nosed pliers or something, pull the spindle up (resistance from the Diaphragm Spring will be encountered).
d.) Slot the Lever Arm back into the Spindle groove as shown.
e.) Re-fit the cover and tighten the screw.
f.) The lever should now operate shower mode when gently pushed forward.
I hope this helps. It occurs because users or assembly operators are a little too heavy-handed and push the lever hard forward-thinking it will operate the shower mode.
Claire Asked :How do you stop water coming out from the back, do you have to tighten screws
Answered By QS Team :
Thank you for your enquiry. This product is best suited to round style taps. To ensure a tight fit, we recommend soaking the rubber fittings in warm water as this makes the water more pliable.
gILL Asked :Do they fit all types of taps?
Answered By QS Team :
Thank you for your enquiry. We can confirm that this product is best suited to round style taps.
Chelsea Asked :Hi qs, looking to by the croydex shower mixer, but I wonder what the length of the mixer that goes on to the taps is? As it does not state it and would prefer to check the length between my tabs before purchasing. Thank you
Answered By QS Team :
We can confirm that the fixings in this product measure 180mm tap to tap.
Brian Asked :Can we purchase the rubber seals that slide over the taps as mine have perished and started to leak? My taps aren't exactly round so tightening the jubilee clips wouldn't have helped.
Answered By QS Team :
We do not sell spares; therefore, we would ask you to contact Croydex for replacement rubbers seal.
