QS EDUCATION ON BUYING TAPS

• According to the Britans Water Regulations Advisory Service Scheme (WRAS) all items fitting to the water system, be it taps, Toilets should confirm by law to the established WRAS standards. Suppliers selling items fitting onto the water system do not have to have a WRCS certificate. Hence, they are a number of sellers both online and on High Street selling products which are inferior(cheap) and totally inadequate for long lasting life.

Our WRCS Approved Taps have been tested for:

• No Use of Materials which are Hazardous to health and contamination to the water system. Many Imported taps use materials which cosmetically look good but have an allergic reaction to some people. Would you trust your health with cheap imports.
• All non Metallic materials (washers, ceramic disc, cartridges) in contact with water are tested and complies to BS6920. To cut cost suppliers will use washers which results in leaking tap. Our Products uses Cartridges which lasts longer.
• The Taps are Pressure tested to 16 Bar. Normal Domestic Pressure is 5 Bar. Therefore our Taps are tested for Leaks. You do not want a Leaking Taps in your Bathroom. Difficult to get the Plumbers in once!
• Mechanical Joints are tested. No Snapping of Joints, welds etc.Our Products are made of Solid Brass. In Order to cut Costs many suppliers will sell their products mixed with ZINC. This is cheap and brittle metal which does not last. Would you want to replace the taps in a years time.? It would cost you at least £60.00 Labour to replace the taps.. Ask the supplier what material are used.?
• Chrome Plating is an expensive process. Our WRCS Taps have 40 microns of chrome thickness Therefore higher corrosion protection. To cust cost suppliers will sell their product with 10-20 micros of chrome thickness resulting in unsightly appearance over short period of time.
• Fatigue Test or Confidence Test. The Taps are tested two hundred thousand times times, 200,000, for normal operation to see if it can endure this period of use. That's why we give 5 Years Warranty with our taps. Taps without the WRCS certificate may only last you two or three months or at most a year, needing you to replace them again. REMEMBER It costs you to get them changed. Buy with Confidence.
