Toughened Safety Glass

Toughened glass, tempered or safety glass as it is rightly called, is five times harder than regular glass of the same size and thickness, which makes it so that it won’t break as easily. It also shatters with scattering as it tends to break into tiny, blunt pieces without harming anyone nearby. Known to have greater thermal strength, this durable material with double glazing has almost twice the soundproofing abilities and provides excellent heat insulation.

I found this product to be fairly straightforward to install after reading the instructions thoroughly. It looks great, and the door closes nicely thanks to the magnetic strip that you install on the inside of the frame. The model I received came with two profiles that are installed over the left-hand and right-hand faces of the frame on the shower side in order to hide the screws, but I found these profiles to be quite ugly and flimsy when installed. The other option for hiding the screws is to fix the included screwcaps over the screwheads, and I found this gave a much nicer look. All in all, an excellent product.
