Vitreous-China Material

It is a compound of glass and silica-based materials applied as a coat on porcelain products such as WC pans, urinals, baths and basins to protect them from scratches and stains as an anti-vandal measure.

With / Without Overflow

An overflow is a small hole or opening at the upper part of a sink, basin, bidet or tub that drains away water upon reaching its level so that no water is spilt. When a basin or bath does not come with this design feature, it is called “without overflow” and will need a compatible drain.

I stay in a fairly remote area and was worried about what the condition of the basin would become by the time it reaches me, and I must say I’m quite flattered to see it in unharmed and rather intact and well-burnished as it would be in a showroom.
