Steve Hackett Asked :Hi, I have the QS-v15382, installed for a handheld shower stick and also for the bath filler. Installed in 2010. The diverted button has started to stick once pushed in. Have you got any advice? Can some form of lubricant be used? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Steve Hackett
Answered By QS Team :
The diverter mechanism on this product is a spring, which does also rely on lubricant to help with the workings. It also has a large washer, which when depressed, sits into the brass body of the valve. The diverter can be removed and serviced, and silicone grease applied to mechanism to help with the movement. We have attached a breakdown drawing showing how the product is put together in our technical tab (https://images.alt.qssupplies.co.uk/2017-11-16--5-37-59-18.pdf). To remove the diverter (component 1 on attachment), turn off the water supply, remove the handle and faceplate. Unscrew the diverter using adjustable wrench on the flat sides on the base of the diverter. Apply silicone grease to the washer and around the mechanism, push the diverter up and down a few times to allow the silicone grease to get into the internals. Reinstall in reverse order. If this doesn’t rectify the issue, then you may need a replacement diverter mechanism.
