Could we take 50mm off the bottom of this unit, please? It is slightly too tall.

Unfortunately, you cannot take off 50mm from the bottom.

I have an 820mm high cistern frame. Can this be cut from the bottom to be lower? Also, presumably, you need to cut the front for the push flush panel?

As per the manufacturer, you can cut the bottom of the cistern cover if you wish. However, we would stress that you seal the cut wood with varnish or silicone as the cut wood would be vulnerable to moisture if left unsealed.
