What is the default setting? When you turn on the water, does it automatically come out of the bath spout? Or does it come out of the shower? Does it stay fixed like that after switching off? Does it reset?

The default is the bath filler. When the diverter is pushed down, it switches to the shower head. Once turned off from the mixer controller, the water stops.
