Thought a mixer tap would be suitable when refurbishing the bathroom but didn't like the way it stuck out over the bath so looked about for a similar mono bath filler to the hand basin tap that was already fitted. Found this filler and was pleased with the near match although a different make. One thing I will point out is that the picture is not of the correct filler, as the bath filler has a changeable nozzle which sticks out the end off the spout, and hot and cold symbols on tap top are also different. All that aside this feels a nice piece of kit, and if people comment that the taps don't quite match I can also replace the basin tap as I now know the make. It's not fitted yet but I'm sure its performance will match its good looks and the speedy delivery from QS Supplies.

tom Asked :Hi, is this tap thermostatic? Or can the temp be adjusted as the one I have installed doesn't reach 40 degrees? All other hot taps are fine, therefore, not a boiler issue. Are there any filters within the tap? Thanks, Tom.
Answered By QS Team :
The A42111 is not a thermostatic valve cartridge, and there is no extra adjustment that can be made for flow or temperature I’m afraid. The only filter on the tap is at the end of the spout.
Chez Asked :Can the Vitra Minimax S Mono bath filler tap A42111VUK be used with a gravity-fed system? Thanks! Chez
Answered By QS Team :
The Minimax-s 42111 can be used with a gravity-fed system as long as there is a minimum pressure of around 1 bar.
Chris Asked :How is tap secured underneath the bath?
Answered By Rod :
Drill 40mm hole, tap is secured by horseshoe shaped washer which slides onto threaded studding which is between hot and cold water tails. Very easy to tighten and very stable, a lot more stable than some single pillar taps.
