3 Features Included In This Product Explained

Optional: Radiator Valve

Optional: Radiator Valve

Radiator valves help control how much hot water enters and leave it, and the flow of water controls how much heat the radiator generates. These are usually found at the radiator's bottom left, and right corners, where the water pipes enter and exit, or can also be present at the bottom near the centre.

Central Heating

Central Heating

'Standard' radiators and towel warmers are connected to your central heating system, so hot water flows through them to heat them.

These radiators or towel warmers can run on a conventional gas-powered central heating system or via your mains electrical supply. You can choose whether or not you want your radiator or towel warmer to come on independently of your central heating system, which is especially useful in summer. These radiators are compatible with heating and hot water, whether the system is open (direct) or closed (indirect).

Michael Asked :

Why does the Santona 500mm wide have different-sized bleeder arrangements? One side has an easy screwdriver release, and the other has a large nut requiring a large spanner. Do both achieve bleeding effects? The radiator remains cold at the top, so must both be unscrewed?

Answered By QS Team Answered by the QS Technical Team

Only the screwdriver should be used to release the trapped air in the radiator so that it can start heating. Please do not use more than 1 bleed valve on radiators, otherwise it won’t function healthily. Unscrew the bleed valve to release the air till water comes from the valve, then tighten the bleed valve again with a screwdriver. After this, please check the water level from the boiler if it needs to top up from the main water entry to the boiler.
