The RAK Feeling Rectangular Shower Tray is offered in an ultra-thin 30mm thickness, features RAKSOLID construction, a durable material composed of a mixture of natural minerals and resins throughout its form. Boasting excellent resistance to chemical products and glazed on all 4 sides, this product also includes a textured surface that inhibits bacteria and fungi' growth to ensure total safety and hygiene.

Created for flush to the floor, semi-recessed or direct floor installation and designed with a side waste position, this unit does not include a compatible waste along with it. Pair it up with a Walk-in Shower Enclosure, to give your bathroom a complete and a fab look.

I love the low profile, but this does come at a cost. Six weeks after installation, the water started to back up, and there was an unpleasant smell from the waste. It turned out that the waste filter had clogged up, and due to the low profile, there was stagnant water that had algae and smelled. No instructions from RAK on how to remove the filter and clean it (which is a real pain), and it needed bleach to get rid of the smell - this needs doing every four weeks or so, from my experience. Also, unless you wipe dry the tray after every use, pink algae soon form on the tray due to the non-slip surface

What sub-base is required for this tray? I am laying on timber floor joists.

RAK trays must be laid onto Marine ply and bedded with silicon or tile adhesive.

Unfortunately, the waste for the RAK Feeling Shower Tray is only available in a brushed chrome finish.
