Things to Know before you purchase a Wetroom!
Unlike a traditional enclosure, a walk in shower enclosure, also known as wetrooms has no doors. There is either one, or two walls of the enclosure left open, or a space where two walls overlap to allow you access into the showering area.
What are the Pros?
There are several selling points that persuade people to buy walk in shower. The first of these is quite simply style. Walk in enclosures look modern, with clean, sharp lines, and fit into the look that many people want for their new bathroom. Walk in enclosure are larger than traditional ones, and offers more space. As they've got no door, there's nothing that can go wrong, no hinges to break and no sliding mechanism to need fixing. These are simple, easy to fit, easy to use, and give a beautiful, minimalist and modern look to your bathroom.
What are the Cons?
There are of course a couple of downsides. Because walk in shower enclosures are usually bigger than traditional ones, they're not the most suitable choice for very small bathrooms. You will need more floor space in order to fit it. With no wall, or a gap in the enclosure, there is always the chance of some water escaping the enclosure itself. However, as long as the shower is properly plumbed in with end panels and used with care, this risk is fairly small. Still, for some people it is enough to persuade them that a wetroom is not for them. They are simple and beautiful to look at. You will need a little more space in your bathroom, but if you have enough room it's certainly worth considering one of these stylish models for your newly remodelled room.
