The screen is made out of strong, 8-mm thick clear glass that includes matt black ceiling posts. It offers a stylish frame effect design and has aluminium profiles, perfect for creating walk-in enclosures. The product measures an overall size of 14mm in depth by 1950 mm in height and comes with 5-year of guarantee from Hudson Reed against manufacturing defects.

Toughened Safety Glass

Toughened glass, tempered or safety glass as it is rightly called, is five times harder than regular glass of the same size and thickness, which makes it so that it won’t break as easily. It also shatters with scattering as it tends to break into tiny, blunt pieces without harming anyone nearby. Known to have greater thermal strength, this durable material with double glazing has almost twice the soundproofing abilities and provides excellent heat insulation.

Optional Return Panel

Return panels are used to extend the enclosure's coverage and containment. It is a fixed glass panel that is installed perpendicular to the main shower door or glass panel, helps minimise water spray, enhances the shower appearance, and provides flexibility in shower design.

Can you join a Hudson screen and side panel to have a waterproof joint?

I'm afraid you cannot combine any wetroom screens to make an enclosure; this is not what they are made for, unfortunately, so we advise against this. You cannot create an enclosure from these items as there will not be enough support for the screens. You can have the screens as per the below-attached PDF - But you cannot put two together to make a corner enclosure; if this were to be done, it would void any warranty.

Hi, can you please tell me the maximum height of the ceiling posts? I need 2.8m floor-to-ceiling for my installation.

The maximum height of the ceiling post is 2 metres.

Please could you let me know more details about the glazing bar? Are they metal? Are they on both sides of the glass? Can I have an image of them?

The glazing bars are not metal. The best way to describe them is a plastic-type tape material, and it is on one side of the glass. It’s strong and secure, but it means that we are able to maintain a single sheet of toughened glass rather than a number of small panes.
