Keith Asked :I need to replace a bath mixer which has 180mm Inlet centres. Most of the mixers currently available have 150mm. Centres but I note on the technical drawing for the Flova filler QS-V15368 that whilst the centres are 150mm. The drawing also states +/- 20mm. The current mixer is fitted using cranked offsets (presumably to assist levelling) and these would adjust to 170mm. I am not sure how the Flova unit achieves the variable centre between 130 and 170mm. Do you think it would be suitable? To alter the plumbing to accommodate 150mm. Centres would be a step too far! Thanks in anticipation.
Answered By QS Team :
The Flova products also use cranked offset connectors to fit onto the wall. This allows a +/- 20mm difference as the offset connectors can be twisted. Hence, they are close together, allowing the narrowest distance of 130mm, or twisted away from each other to the furthest distance to achieve 170mm. Refer this URL for installation guide showing the offset connectors. (https://images.alt.qssupplies.co.uk/2017-10-20--10-2-55-371.pdf) If you can measure the distance between the centres on the wall rather than the product you are looking to replace (image below of required measurement), then the product will fit if this measurement is between 130 and 170mm.
