Imex Essence Chrome 3 Function Shower Handset

Very easy to fit to flexible hose pipe of same brand. Has 3 water settings to determine the width and intensity of the water coming from the showerhead. I only use two of these settings as the effect of the third one is too subtle to make any appreciable difference that I can notice. Quality seems good for the price. The material would appear to be a hard plastic coated with a chrome type finish - this harmonises well with other chrome plated fittings in the shower cubicle. After 6 months use have not noticed any unsightly scale build up despite being in a hard water area, but after use the shower head is held downwards for a few seconds and shaken to help drain out the water left in the head itself. The handle is round which means when in use and wet it can be awkward to grip and avoid the shower head from rotating; which is why style has only got a 4* rating. The previous model's handle was triangular in profile which meant gripping it was much better with the shower head always being directed where required.
