Armitage Shanks Belfast S582701 Details

Belfast Heavy Duty Sink by Armitage Shanks is built to weather strenuous usage; built from fire clay it is tested for its durability and is stain resistant. Its in-built overflow helps the water in the sink to drain faster. Fit for domestic and commercial use this ceramic ware can be reverse-fitted, i.e. you can position the drainer to your left or right. As worthy accessories, you may optionally purchase a leg set made of stainless steel or a strainer waste as an anti-clogging device. A bottle trap to keep the gas from the drainage from returning and an aluminium bracket to ease the installation process can be bought as separate purchases. Pair it up with a kitchen tap, to ease up your kitchen work.

Fireclay

It is incredibly hard-wearing and has an everlasting shiny surface. They have a high heat resistance (1600°C) and are chemical resistant, non-porous, and hygienic.

With / Without Overflow

An overflow is a small hole or opening at the upper part of a sink, basin, bidet or tub that drains away water upon reaching its level so that no water is spilt. When a basin or bath does not come with this design feature, it is called 'without-overflow' and will need a compatible drain.

The legs can be cut to the size you require to set your sink; you need to ensure the height is correct for the person or persons using the Belfast sink.

Recommended waste and traps are available as an option in the "Customise Your Product" section of the product. Refer (OP-42899 - Slotted Strainer Waste 90mm Tail - S8769AA and OP-42893 - Slotted Strainer Waste 80mm Tail - S8725AA.

I have purchased the Belfast sink and the legs and aluminium brackets. There appear to be 2 sets of brackets, one which fits the legs and the other, the ones in the illustration on your website, as an extra purchase. I can't see any purpose for this last set.

This sink can be installed using legs and bearers or brackets. If you purchased the legs, then there is no need for brackets.

Hi, Can you please confirm if the Armitage Shanks Belfast sink without box 600x455 x255mm is suitable to be mounted on a domestic kitchen worktop base? Also, do I require an additional plug and waste pipe for this unit separately?

No, the sink cannot just be mounted on a domestic kitchen worktop base; you would need to use the wall brackets or legs to support this. The sink is supplied as a sink only, so you would need to purchase the plug and waste separately.
