You can not replace the cartridge but have to replace the whole valve head when things go wrong. Told by Aqualisa that it was a non-serviceable item which is strange when there are listings for discontinued cartridges (ref 669905) on many websites, and even a non-plumber like myself can easily remove the cartridge. After five years, I am faced with buying a completely new valve head (the complete shower assembly costs less on some sites) or looking for an alternative. This was my second Aqualisa shower, but I think my last.
