This sink has been a great disappointment. Franke is a good name and I thought they would know how to produce a serviceable sink. It looks great, but as soon as any water gets on it for more than a few minutes - duh, what does a sink do but contain water? - it leaves a mark. I can't use a drainer because it marks the surface, as well as the water drips also leaving marks. I have found a rubber draining mat, but I have to dry the things straight away and even then the pattern on the mat is left on the surface. We are constantly wiping the drainer and surround to keep it looking good. Also, the tea leaves, breadcrumbs and general bits that get left in the sink after washing up don't wash away easily. I have to use a lot of water to swill them down and they never go completely. It seems as if the fall to the plughole is not angled enough,or the surface is not smooth enough.

Gloria Asked :The bowl size is given for the Franke Maris MRG 611 sink, but I am wanting to know the size of the draining area, as I am wondering which Rollamat size I would need to fit that space exactly? Thank you.
Answered By QS Team :
Hi Gloria,
The size of the draining area is given in the technical drawing and Franke suggest Rollamat 36, which is available as an option.
