Nicola Asked :Is the manual adjuster a gliding one? Can I adjust whilst my clients head is leaning back into the basin?
Answered By QS Team :
Thank you for your interest in Armitage height adjustable brackets. The manual versions are for occasional/infrequent height adjustment and a 2 person procedure: holding the basin and locking it into position. If the basin height is to be altered with any regularity, then the electric or gas versions should be used.
Reference has been made in your e-mail to clients heads leaning back into the basin. Is this for hair washing? In that case, the only bracket available is gas (liquid) operated and is supplied with a special secondary bracket for our Salonex to mount onto. Salonex only has a gas option coded S064767 providing vertical adjustment only and should be used with flexible feed/supply and waste system S064967.
The Salonex is a heritage product in our range that does not have the facility to use a contemporary rag bolt fixing and is ordinarily mounted onto a pair of cantilever brackets and secured to these using a toggle bolt. The height-adjustable brackets are intended for basins designed for use with a rag bolt fixation. For Salonex to fit onto those brackets, a secondary bracket is sold only with the Salonex height adjustable brackets. That secondary bracket clamps onto the bolts and then has a section to capture against the waste outlet.
