Do the basket strainers act as a seal when there is water in the bowl, or do you need to buy plugs?

You will require the strainer plug to seal the water; this comes complete with the basket strainer waste.

A waste tidy is a round disk that sits on top of the basket strainer waste kit. Please refer to this URL, and this url. Waste tidies are sold individually so if you require one for each plug then you would need to purchase 3.
