Andrew Asked :I have a leak that seems to be coming from underneath the concealed cistern where the flush pipe enters the cistern. It has a top double flush plate. The cistern is enclosed within a tiled wall, I have taken the tiles off from the top along with the flush plate, I'm now disconnecting the cistern, lift from the flush pipe vertically or is it connected other than a push git?
Answered By QS Team :
The cistern should pull out, but it would be a good idea to remove the pan because the horizontal part of the flush pipe is pushed into the vertical part and you don’t want to put any stress on this connection. By removing the pan, you will see the horizontal pipe, which you can be removed before removing the cistern. It’s not an easy job, so it is recommended to contact any professional plumber.
