Detergent Resistant

Shower trays are subjected to strict inspections of resistance to chemicals and pass these tests according to standard EN 14527.

Acrylic or Plexiglas

Acrylic is a plastic that is transparent, strong, chemical resistant and rigid. It has qualities like glass but weighs half the weight of glass and is 17 times more impact-resistant than glass.

Click-Clack Waste

Also called the Push button or Sprung waste, this waste needs a push down on the stopper to close and a click to open it back again. It is the most commonly used waste due to the ease of its operation.

Resistant To Light

Shower trays do not discolour and wear through long-term changes in lighting. They are tested with xenon lamps, which accelerate the environmental effects to which the shower floors are exposed in daily use (EN ISO 4892).

With / Without Overflow

An overflow is a small hole or opening at the upper part of a sink, basin, bidet or tub that drains away water upon reaching its level so that no water is spilt. When a basin or bath does not come with this design feature, it is called 'without-overflow' and will need a compatible drain.

Idealform

All Idealform baths are moulded from a high-quality reinforced cell-cast acrylic sheet that is warm to the touch and provides exceptional insulation. The sheet is heated and then vacuum formed into the desired bath shape. It is then fully reinforced with Glass Reinforced Polymer (GRP). A medium-density 15mm base board is positioned and encapsulated with extra Glass Reinforced Polymer (GRP). The bath is then cured, trimmed and drilled for tapholes or bath grips if required.

BS EN 817:2008 Standard

BS EN 817 applies to PN 10 mechanical mixing valves for use with sanitary appliances installed in cloakrooms, bathrooms, and also in kitchens, i.e. for use with bathtubs, basins, bidets, sinks and showers. It specifies dimensional, leak tightness, pressure resistance, hydraulic performance, mechanical strength, endurance and acoustic characteristics that these mechanical mixing valves must comply with. It also specifies their test methods.
