Merlyn Mbox MBP700 Details

Enclose your shower space in a way that is both comfortable and stylish with the Merlyn Mbox Pivot Shower Door. The door is able to be fitted to either the left- or right-hand side for your convenience and is best suited for restricted spaces that need to conserve room. It is made out of strong six-millimetre toughened safety glass that is tough and is easy to clean, thanks to the Mershield Stayclear coating. The 1900-millimetre-tall door comes with a designer chrome handle.

Mershield Stayclear Coating

All Merlyn Series range products are subjected to the Mershield Stayclear glass protection that keeps the glass looking clear. It decelerates the build-up of lime scale and soap deposits, making cleaning an absolute breeze. The coatings' smooth surface does not allow any grime, dirt or water to stick easily, keeping it pristine.

Toughened Safety Glass

Toughened glass, tempered or safety glass as it is rightly called, is five times harder than regular glass of the same size and thickness, which makes it so that it won’t break as easily. It also shatters with scattering as it tends to break into tiny, blunt pieces without harming anyone nearby. Known to have greater thermal strength, this durable material with double glazing has almost twice the soundproofing abilities and provides excellent heat insulation.

Reversible Design

It is a design which allows the product to be fitted either to the right or left, depending on the dimensions of your space.

Adjustable Wall Profile

These refer to the pieces of material that fit the shower door or panel against a wall and can be adjusted to allow for out-of-true walls for a neat and seamless installation. The ability to adjust the side profile gives a perfect fit and makes the installation process easy. Depending on the manufacturer, the profile can be adjusted between 12 to 30mm.

Looking at putting in an 800 x 1000 shower tray in a recess, so only a door is needed. When I’m looking at product information, it gives 20mm adjustments. The maximum is always less than 1000mm. Does this mean it wouldn’t fit, please?

It is because the adjustments are to take into account that when you put in the tray, you will tile down onto the top of the tray. You need to ensure that the tile-to-tile measurement falls within the adjustment of the door.
