What connection is needed for the inlet? Is this G 1/2 inch connector threaded?

The spout has a standard 1/2 Inch thread. The length of the connector thread is 18mm.

I have a wall build-up of 37mm, and the wall connector which fixes flush with the tile is smaller. What holds this in place only there is nothing to lock this in position from behind the wall.

There is no locking nut or similar on the spout, the wall connector is screwed into the pipework – this must be secure - and the spout slots onto the front of the connector.
