CE Certified Sink

All 1810 kitchen sinks are manufactured to the highest standard and are built to comply with Construction Products Directive (89 / 106 / EEC). These sinks are CE certified and tested to BS EN 13310: 2003 / BS EN 13310: 2015 standard.

With / Without Overflow

An overflow is a small hole or opening at the upper part of a sink, basin, bidet or tub that drains away water upon reaching its level so that no water is spilt. When a basin or bath does not come with this design feature, it is called 'without-overflow' and will need a compatible drain.

Inset Sink

Inset sink units can be installed above the worktop - typically used with plastic worktops fixed with a clamping plate as a support material and a seal fitted underneath the sink flange to prevent water from getting under and dripping into the kitchen unit.

Stainless Steel Material

Stainless Steel is an iron alloy with anti-rust and anti-corrosive properties, unlike iron. Along with other metal alloys, it contains a minimum of 10.5% of chromium and less than 1.2% of carbon. This robust, hygienic, hard-wearing base material is popular in the construction of bathroom products.

One of the main reasons I bought this sink was because it stated that it was made from 0.8mm thick steel. Cheaper sinks can be 0.7mm thick or less. Having already returned a previous sink for the same reason (from a different manufacturer), I measured the thickness of the Veloreuno and found it to be 0.7mm thick, not 0.8mm as stated - 14% thinner. I contacted the manufacturer but never received an explanation for the discrepancy. Due to restrictions, I had the sink installed, but I wonder how many sinks are made from thinner steel than quoted? As an engineer, I had the tool to measure the thickness - as shown in my photo. (0.027 = 0.7mm)
