Jo Asked :
Hi, I have just purchased a property with a Trevi A3000 shower. The problem is that when I turn it on it flows for a few seconds then shuts off. Any ideas please?

Answered By QS Team :
Yes that usually happens when the flow cartridge on the cold side is not opening correctly. You often find that the flow handle is stiff or spongy or doesn’t stop turning at a half turn. We recommend changing both flow cartridges and the gear wheels to resolve see attached instructions.

Mark Asked :
I have the A3000AA. The delivered water from shower is not as hot as it has been, so we are moving the temp valve switch forward to compensate, which isn't really ideal. Can you offer any advice as to why shower water temps have become cooler than previously? There have been no changes to water supply, or pipework, so am beginning to wonder if it's a valve related problem. If it is valve related, which one should be changed, as I think there might be 2 on this. The hose was changed a few months ago, so I don't think it's that. The adjacent sink hot water is as hot as it ever was, so am struggling to understand what has changed as far as the shower is concerned. Grateful for any advice on this. Thanks.

Answered By QS Team :
When this normally happens you are indeed correct it is normally the flow control valves which have become lime scaled up or have become worn. When you turn the flow of water on does the handle allow you to turn from the 12 o clock to 6 o clock position or are you allows to full rotate? Also have you ever has a slight drip from the shower head? With the above information we should be able to advise further.

Paul Asked :
How do you adjust the temperature?

Answered By QS Team :
This valve comes with a temperature controller indice, through which the temperature can be adjusted. Please ensure the hot water supply is 55 Degree C at least at the nearest outlet prior to calibrating. Please see calibration section from the attached PDF URL

Frank Asked :
Hi, My shower Trevi-the year (300cp) Conccaled thermostatic shower valve purchased in 2005 ( I try to read from the sales person handwriting, so please forgive any typos) looses pressure after few minutes but another similar unit is working fine. Therefore, I assume the control unit has gone & need replacing. Am I right? If so will the model A3000AA fit the pipe Work? They look similar but no technical data available to me. Thanks, Frank

Answered By QS Team :
The fault you reported sounds like the shower is shutting down to a dribble to prevent scalding. I would check the on/off handle, this should not turn more than 180 degrees, if so replace the A952501NU11 x 2 Inlets cartridges and A963067NU Gears and Spindle.
