KINGSTON UPON THAMES Date: September 29, 2020

simple and dependable and great value for the money
This was a like-for-like replacement of my original Trevi mixer installed in 1995. Probably should have got around to it sooner as the difference was dramatic - much more accurate control of temperature and a wider range. Ideal Standard has a generous amount of online advice which I should have read much earlier - obviously, the filters were gradually becoming more and more clogged reducing my control. The new unit swapped in very easily and has given the shower a new lease of life: brilliant

Peter Asked :
Hi. I am looking for a mixer shower that will work with mains pressure cold water and gravity-fed hot. There used to be a unit that used the mains pressure to boost the hot water without a pump. Is this still available? Or what are my other options? I am a DIYer so not very technical, but if I know something will do the job, I can get a tradesperson to check pressures and install if necessary. Thanks.

Answered By QS Team :
The shower you were referring to was the Boost shower which is now unfortunately obsolete; Ideal Standard no longer has a shower to work on low pressure on the hot side.

Ken Asked :
I have an old model Ideal Standard A300. Will the A3000 replace it without changes to the pipework. Also, does installation require any special tools? Many thanks.

Answered By QS Team :
The A3000AA is a direct replacement; no pipework alterations should be required.

David Asked :
I have trevi boost can I replace it with trevi boost.

Answered By QS Team :
The manufacturer says the Boost is no longer available and we no longer manufacture a Venturi type shower. The A3000AA in your subject line is a Trevi Therm, which is a thermostatic shower and only suitable for balanced supplied

Jo Asked :
Hi, I have just purchased a property with a Trevi A3000 shower. The problem is that when I turn it on, it flows for a few seconds then shuts off. Any ideas, please?

Answered By QS Team :
Yes, that usually happens when the flow cartridge on the cold side is not opening correctly. You often find that the flow handle is stiff or spongy or doesn’t stop turning at a half turn. We recommend changing both flow cartridges and the gear wheels to resolve to see attached instructions.
