great product
Ordered this at the time our new kitchen refit. It's not boiling, but its 99 degrees so very nearly. I have seen others at friends houses which come out at 100 degrees and scintillatingly hot, like the Quooker one. but you need 2 hands to turn it on I think. with this you can put it out twist and turn with one hand so still hold your tea cup underneath. I love it. work top now free from kettles too.

Hot tap
I was recommended this product by a friend and her enthusiasm for it made me wonder whether it was too good to be true. But she was right, and having now used it for a week, I am thrilled. Boiling water at a touch means that electricity bills are cut. So not only is the product aesthetically pleasing, it's economical too.

Habi Asked :Can I use this to get unfiltered water from the mixer (hot/cold) and get filtered hot AND FILTERED COLD water too?
Answered By QS Team :
The 30058000 allows filtered kettle hot water and unfiltered hot and cold. There is no option with this tap for filtered cold as well.
darren Asked :Hello, just ordered a Grohe Red Duo tap and four litre boiler 30058000. This is what I want and its a great price, but I have just realised it does not mention the water filter in your description. Does this model have the filter supplied? Regards Darren
Answered By QS Team :
Thanks for your enquiry. Yes, this tap is supplied with a water filter.
Tracy marks Asked :I have just purchased a Grohe red duo hot tap from you last month and it has now been installed today, but when we use the boiling tap to make tea, it's coming out very chalky, it does eventually settle but leaves a bit of a film, this doesn't happen on the hot/ cold tap side. thank you. details below.
Answered By QS Team :
We are sorry to hear about the issues you are having with your tap. The "film" that you are seeing on the top of the water is in fact air bubbles, these bubbles are created due to the fact that the water stored inside the boiler is at 99 degrees and not 100 degrees or more. When the tap is opened and the water starts flowing, the stored pressure is released and it is opened straight up to atmospheric pressure, in turn creating the air bubbles. Unfortunately, there is no way of stopping this process from happening. There are, however, ways of trying to minimize the air bubble, run the tap for 10-20 seconds before putting the water into the cup, also try adjusting the filter bypass to 50% instead of the factory set 30%.
shaneeda walsh Asked :We are thinking of fitting an in line filter onto the cold water in pipe to house. Our plumber said this would help soften and filter all the water coming into house. Will it still be necessary/advised to have the Blue filter fitted too?
Martha Asked :Does it come with the GROHE Blue filter or one has to buy separately?
Martha Grisi Asked :QS-V28585 Does it include the GROHE Red™ single boiler?
