The kitchen is the most important place in a house. The kitchen sink is the most used and prominent element of this room. To make it more utilitarian, it must have a suitable tap. For a large family, one requires a large tap for the inset stainless steel sink. However, a large tap can cause a flexing of the sink, ruining the beauty of the basin and the reputation of the homeowner. Franke, with its innovative ideas, has now introduced the Tap Brace which can be fitted to any large or heavy tap to prevent the occasional problem of flexing. This utilitarian product is installed under the sink and connects the tap to the worktop for extra support.

I am thinking of buying the Franke Zurich Monobloc tap and am wondering if it needs the Tap brace, I have a new stainless steel sink, but I see the tap is not that heavy. Just out of interest, if I do have to order it with the tap, will the postage be £4.95 for the two, or will I have to pay two lots of £4.95?

Answered By QS Team :
The only time you will find a need to fit a tap brace is if you are fitting the tap directly onto the sink and then only if the sink flexes under the weight of the tap. Hope it helps. Also if you buy two, the postage will remain same i.e. £4.95.
