Christopher Asked :Hi I'm looking at the Abode Linear Flair Monobloc mixer kitchen tap in brushed nickel. I like the design, but I don't know anything about Abode taps. Are they as good as Franke, better, or worse? Is the base metal brass below the brushed nickel, and will the surface tarnish quickly? Is it a suitable tap for gravity-fed plumbing? (We don't have a pressurised ). Please let me know if there are other taps with a similar design. Thanks, Chris
Answered By QS Team :
The base material is brass, and the brushed nickel is a hand-finished coating. The finish is durable and does not tarnish so long as the cleaning instructions that come with the tap are followed. Regarding the gravity-fed system, the hot water tank must be mounted a minimum of 5 metres above the tap to achieve the minimum recommended bar pressure.
