Totally changed the look of our kitchen
We had a double drainer stainless steel sink which was 5 years old ,scratched and stained and the whole kitchen looked tatty. Just changing the sink improved the look of the whole kitchen.... People thought we had had a new kitchen!!! QS supplies were very helpful at identifying options and provided a very efficient service

shirley Asked :Does this sink come with a single tap-hole or do you have to drill it?
Answered By QS Team :
This sink comes with a pre-formed tap hole; you have to knock-out with the punch and hammer.
Graham Asked :How is the tap hole formed, e.g. part cut from underside both positions or just drilled to required diameter?
Answered By QS Team :
The Orion sink has a 2mm indent in the sink to drill through a centre hole on the back of the sink of where the tap hole should be. Then by using a 35mm hole cutter cutting the tap hole from the front. Find the attached PDF from the technical tab.
Sean Asked :Hi, I'd like to buy a black sink. However, I have concerns about staining and warranty spoiling. My wife is a photographer and occasionally uses the sink to wash developing fluid from newly developed photographs. Would this sink finish be damaged by developing fluid if it was rinsed and washed down afterwards? Many thanks, Sean Emmerton
Answered By QS Team :
Hi Sean, Thanks for your query. I am attaching a link which will provide you with cleaning instructions. We have also uploaded the PDF file, which provides additional care and maintenance of sink. http://www.franke.com/kitchensystems/uk/en/home/support/after_sales_service/frequently_askedquestions/sinks.html
c. Asked :I am thinking of purchasing the black tectonic sink by Franke. I live in London where there is a lot of limescale in the water that is hard to get off a stainless steel sink. Do you know how limescale might react on this tectonic sink? Many Thanks.
Answered By Keith :
I have had no problems with this sink and live in a hard water area. Obviously don't leave pools of water on the flat surfaces, as evaporation will leave white marks in hard water areas. If you do get marks you can remove them using a special cleaner for this type of sink. I got mine from B & Q
