This tap is very poor value for money. It uses the same shoddy valve cartridges as a cheap B & Q tap. So, after 12 months, the hot water valve failed. Then, to my disappointment, i learnt that the Franke warranty simply consists of replacing a the defective part- YOU HAVE TO FIND AND PAY FOR YOUR OWN PLUMBER. That was £50 call out and and £40 to change the valve. When you have a dripping tap (due to a leaky valve) the calcium ions in water form a bond as strong as cement between the valve body and handle, so getting taking the two apart is not a DIY job as Franke's appointed warranty agents would have you believe. Further the chrome finish - although high quality- is too easily scuffed. The nut on the swivel neck is CONSTANTLY coming loose. If you tighten it, you can no longer swivel the neck. If you do swivel the neck, the nut loosens. Very cheap design. I would much rather buy the Wickes version of the bridge lever tap. It costs less and at least its a proper warranty.

Had this fitted as part of a utility room makeover. Well made and good looking tap, but the swan neck is very stiff and swivelling it must stress the joint. So far it shows no sign of loosening up. Major issue is to do with the water supply; in my case the cold is mains pressure and the hot is gravity feed. This unbalanced feed means that the cold water forces its way up the hot feed, as there is no check valve. I've resolved it by reducing the cold pressure by partially closing the stopcock, but this is not ideal. Not sure how many other plumbing systems will have this issue, but something to think about.

Very pleased with the tap, which was part of a complete revamp of the utility room. Looks smart, levers are easy to use & the build quality is excellent. Only minor issue is that the gooseneck is fairly stiff & needs more effort than I'd have expected to turn. As it's early days yet, it may loosen off with use. Not a cheap tap, but worth the cost.

Having struggled to find replacement valves for the old tap, we decided it was a better idea to replace the whole tap. This tap was easy to fit, looks fantastic with a stainless steel sink and works superbly. No drips from anywhere, very smooth and a easy to use levers and a mixed outflow that doesn't splash or dribble. Money well spent.
