The Apex Double Door Sliding Quadrant Shower Enclosure bears a reversible design conducive to the right or left-sided installation. Envisioned by Hudson Reed for bathrooms dedicated to delineation to achieve boundary-specific functionality, the enclosure is manufactured using an 8 mm toughened safety glass encased in chrome finished aluminium profile.

Apex gliding doors shut with chrome magnetic door closing strips, especially for showerproof sealing. Besides giving a watertight and airtight closure, magnetic closures are strong and wont lose strength over time. Equipped with a drip tray and shower shield surface coated Glass to prevent limescale build-up, the enclosure allows for out-of-true wall adjustment. It carries a lifetime manufacturers guarantee against manufacturing defects.

Toughened Safety Glass

Toughened glass, tempered or safety glass as it is rightly called, is five times harder than regular glass of the same size and thickness, which makes it so that it won’t break as easily. It also shatters with scattering as it tends to break into tiny, blunt pieces without harming anyone nearby. Known to have greater thermal strength, this durable material with double glazing has almost twice the soundproofing abilities and provides excellent heat insulation.

Reversible Door

A reversible door can be fit to open either to the right or left, depending on the dimensions of your space.

UKCA Great Britain Mark

Merlyn enclosures now carry the UKCA mark, which stands for UK Conformance Assessment. This mark indicates that the product meets or exceeds GB-designated standards. The UKCA mark is now the standard labelling for products sold in Great Britain (England & Wales & Scotland).

Quick Release Rollers

Universal magnetic seals equipped with powerful magnets, used in shower doors and drawers, allow the door to be closed with a watertight and airtight seal and are easy to open. The shower enclosure is good, but the instructions for construction are very poor and limited, a few sketches with little written advice. This made the construction long, difficult and needing guess work. Hoped there would be an online support but no, instead was able to get other companies guides to help out. Not good enough Hudson Reed.

My Lauren Apex Shower enclosure has just been fitted, it looks fantastic and of very good quality and value. The only fault was that the instructions were now very clear, which made it hard for an inexperienced person to fit. I have no hesitation on giving it a five star.
