An overflow is a small hole or opening at the upper part of a sink, basin, bidet or tub that drains away water upon reaching its level so that no water is spilt. When a basin or bath does not come with this design feature, it is called “without overflow” and will need a compatible drain.

Hi, I am looking at the Pura Wave 1800 x 800mm, and want to have it installed to fit three of the four edges against flat walls - my bathroom is 1880 long which is why I am looking at this size bath. I want the taps mounted on the wall side of the bath but don't know if this is possible in terms of the pipework fitting behind the bath, there is no space in the bathroom to have any type of ledge the side of the bath. Can you let me know if this is a valid option, and also do all the waste pipes etc. fit under the bath. Hope that all makes sense Thanks for your help Karen

We are assuming that you will build a small ledge at one to take up the 80mm gap. The taps can be wall-mounted, but we are certain that at some point the pipework will have to be chased into the wall by your installer – this is normal practice. As for the waste, generally, all the waste pipework will be accommodated under the bath – there will be plenty of room for this. Hope this helps
