Roper Rhodes Traditional Soft Close Toilet Seat

It is easy to overlook the ance of ing a good quality toilet seat, as when buying (especially online) you have no idea if you will like the comfort or if it will fit perfectly until it has been installed. We knew that we wanted something elegant and in keeping with our characterful downstairs WC in our 1930's bungalow and that we wanted a soft-close seat too. We had already purchased our WC, which came without a seat, and were pleasantly surprised when we found this Roper Rhodes soft close seat on the QS Supplies website. It fitted the bill perfectly, the right colour, the proper shape, soft-close and best of all competitively priced. It wasn't until we got the seat fitted that we appreciated just how good it was, and even now, six months on, the soft-close still has a smooth quality motion and looks excellent (as you can see). QS Supplies were equally excellent to deal with, kept us informed, payment was secure and easy, and the item arrived exactly when they said it would. We are about to create a new master bathroom and have already started to the perfect suite we want from the QS Supplies website. 5 STAR service 5 STAR quality - Thank you

I purchased 2 of the Roper Rhodes Soft Close toilet seats to replace older Roper Rhodes toilet seats which were already in the bathrooms of a house I recently purchased. One was unusable on delivery of the two toilet seats as the quick fit mechanism did not engage. QS Supplies replaced this faulty item. Unfortunately, the replacement item was also unusable as the seat had split completely in two from back to front and was once again replaced by QS Supplies. Regarding the RRP of these toilet seats, I am disappointed by the quality of the product. Only will tell how long these two seats last, but I do not envisage buying any further replacements from Roper Rhodes. All credit to QS Customer Services for arranging the replacement of 2 faulty items.

Excellent service by QS Supplies. The product itself is good, but it was rather bemusing, sorry, amusing, to discover that the one hinge was fitted correctly with the thread facing downwards whilst the other was facing upwards! Rather than return the toilet seat, I remedied the problem by having to disassemble the incorrect hinge and reassemble it after having made the necessary adjustment. They were directly notified to assist Roper Rhodes since this silly fault could not be apportioned to QS Supplies, with the suggestion that their quality control was perhaps a little complacent. There was no response.

This is an excellent high quality and good-looking seat. The soft close and Chrome hinges add up. Fitting toilet seats is fiddly, especially in tight spaces, and the Roper Rhodes seat has two features that make this much easier: a cardboard template that allows you to adjust the position of the hinge pins precisely until in the exact correct position and two options to screw the seat to the pan including 'Top fit' that lets you push a clever rubber into the hole from the top and screw into that, without having to reach under the pan and fiddle with nuts. Definitely recommend this seat.

purchased 3 of these as I had previously had a Rope Rhodes wooden seat without the soft close that I liked, shortly after installation one of the soft-close mechanisms failed and QS promised to send a replacement mechanism - they never did. A few months later this same seat suffered a split in the wood, this QS promptly replaced the entire seat so now all is good and we achieved a satisfactory result in the end. The soft-close is great, I chose the natural oak finish.

I recently ordered x 2 Roper Rhodes Mahogany toilet seats from QS Supplies, and the transaction was faultless. Even during the pandemic they still managed to facilitate my order and delivery was reasonable considering the circumstances we are all in. Will be using QS ageing for any items I need that they carry and would encourage anyone else considering using this company to go for it as you won't be disappointed.

The fitting mechanism is clever, very easy to position and won't shift once it's set. The seat and lid are Solid oak, with broad planks, adequately joined. Tough finish in a genuinely colourless lacquer. I won't fit any other seat, and I won't sh*t on any other seat. Now, I've been robbed if that review doesn't win me an iPod mini!

Item damaged - phoned them up - asked to email support with the details of the problem - QS responded with request to take the item into the store for examination. They assessed the damaged item and placed an order for a replacement which arrived the following morning and I was able to collect the item that day. EXCELLENT service!

I received excellent customer service from QS supplies, the gentleman that took my order couldn't have been more helpful and the item arrived very quickly and was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend QS supplies and will most definitely order from them again.

Good quality product, but the fixing kit is unsuitable for under-fixing to toilet pan. Bolt/screws are too short and plastic/metal washers are far too wide to hold the seat in place securely. Had to buy smaller washers, but still not adequately secured.
