Mains-operated devices work on electricity by plugging into electrical wall sockets. These require higher electrical energy and can't be operated using batteries as small batteries can't power the device. Large, non-portable electrical appliances are typically mains operated.

sean Asked :

Hi, I wondered if it is possible to increase the time my IR taps give water, as the taps stop as soon as your hand moves away from the sensor. Many Thanks Sean

Answered By QS Team Answered by the QS Technical Team

You cannot increase the duration of the flow in this way. The taps are designed to only operate whilst the infra-red beam is broken, i.e. when hands are beneath the spout.

lisa Asked :

Please, can you let me know how to change the battery on this tap? Thanks!

Answered By QS Team Answered by the QS Technical Team

Hi Lisa, Underneath the tap, there should be a control box which holds the battery. You will need to unscrew the cover to the unit to get to the battery.
