A few checks that we would suggest in the first instance would be water pressure, maximum working pressure for non-concussive products is 3 Bar. We would presume that water is being fed to the product through a blending valve so the water temperature should be set to 41°C for hand washing. However, if this is not the case, the maximum working temperature for the product is 45°C. In terms of stripping the product for cleaning, the procedure is as follows:

1) Isolate the water to the tap, and depress the handle to drain.

2) Using a spanner on the flats on the press down the head, unscrew the handle section.

3) Once this has been removed, you will find a brass insert which you will need to pull out of the tap.

4) On the underside of the insert, you will find a slot, using a flat-bladed screwdriver unscrew the bottom plate, please take care as the plate is spring-loaded.

5) Push out the internal components for inspection.

6) Once all parts have been removed, check the inside of the insert for scale/debris build-up cleaning any that is found. The tube should be smooth; there is also a slot running the length of the tube. Please ensure that this is clear.

7) Remove any evidence of scale/debris build-up from the other components and lubricate any seals with a silicon-based grease. 8) Installation is a reversal of the removal.

1) Pre-set automatic shut-off after approximately 10 seconds CAN IT BE ADJUSTED MANUALLY, IF NEEDED? 2) is it Suitable to use in conjunction with a thermostatic blending valve? 3)Can the tap be fitted with the Enviro-Wise flow regulator that reduces water wastage and makes you environment friendly and do you have a Methven brand? 4) CAN IT BE FITTED TO ANY WASHBASIN WITHOUT ANY VALVE OR REGULATOR EXTRAS?

Answered By Deva 1) Unfortunately there is no way of manually adjusting the shut off time for this product.
2) The product is suitable to be used in conjunction with a thermostatic blending valve.
3) The product can be fitted with either an in-tail or outlet flow regulator.
4)The product would normally be installed to a single tap hole wash basin, however it has a 1/2" BSP tail so could be installed in one side of a two tap hole basin. If the product is to be used without a blending valve we would recommend cold water only being supplied. It has no way of regulating the water temperature and there are no markings on the product to indicate hot and cold.
