Vertical Outlet

It is a toilet where the plumbing exits through the floor. Such toilets should be placed a few inches higher than the rest of the floor to compensate for the plumbing.

Washdown Model

A washdown toilet uses the weight of the water and gravity to push out the toilet waste from the toilet bowl. The washdown toilet is designed with a short and wide trapway, so that waste can quickly enter the trapway using just the force of water from the tank. A washdown model includes a push-button flush and has a skirted design with a smaller water surface area and a short trapway and can easily handle heavy loads without getting clogged.

Vitreous-China Material

It is a compound of glass and silica-based materials applied as a coat on porcelain products such as WC pans, urinals, baths and basins to protect them from scratches and stains as an anti-vandal measure.

Open-Back Toilet

Open-back toilets are a type of close-coupled toilet with a cistern attached to the back of the toilet, creating one single unit. In the open-back model, there is a space at the back between the toilet bowl and the wall to access pipework at the back, while the closed back does not have a gap.

I have a 40-year-old Twyfords toilet in my upstairs bathroom, i.e. old cistern. As the soil stack is from the floor, I am limited to the toilet choices. The wall's distance to the midpoint current waste part of the current toilet is 165 (the same as the Twyfords one I am considering purchasing. But my only concern is, where I am limited to having the horizontal waste (not the vertical at the bottom) because of this distance of the centre of the stack from the wall, would the 2.5/4 flush be enough water to flush the toilet adequately (the old cistern carrying more water). The manufacturer says that the water in the cistern should be enough to clear the pan in most cases, anything regarding the pipework behind is down to the installer, and we cannot advise on this.

Can you confirm that this is 4/6 litre flush with a horizontal outlet as detailed? The Twyford website seems to indicate that this is 2.6/4 litre flush with horizontal outlet. Thanks.

The new amendment from the manufacturer states that the cistern (E12590WH) in this product flushes 2.6/4 litres with a horizontal outlet pan and flushes 4/2.6 litres with the bottom outlet pan is available as an option.

Will the horizontal outlet version fit when the centre of the floor drain is 105mm from the wall? Would the premium version fit as it seems to require the floor drain even closer to the wall?

Unfortunately, neither of the premium version will fit the 105mm dimension stipulated.

Hi, I want to replace a WC that has a cemented swan neck into the floor. The distance from the wall to the centre of floor drain opening is 230mms, will the E11145wh do this job?

Yes, this WC pan with a bottom outlet (OP-58014 - Standard WC Pan With Bottom Outlet - E11145WH) is suitable for installation (wall to the centre of drain pipe 230mm shown in the dimensional drawing). For this, you have to add the option OP-58014 before proceeding to checkout.
